FRIENDLY FRIDAY ~ 10 May ~ Handmade Business Recommendations

10 May

Hello and welcome again to our Friendly Friday post, when crafters get the chance to recommend other crafters who make and sell handmade items or supplies.

We have a great selection for you to have a look at this week so grab yourself a cuppa, a sneaky biscuit or cake and please have a browse.

1.  Little Tinkers Craft Shop

Little Tinkers Restoration logo

A couple of weeks ago Kay recommended her husbands Facebook Group ~ Little Tinkers’s Salvage & Restoration, but it was too late to include in that week’s post, so I took note and said I would include it a week later. When I came to search for that Group Page I was unable to find it and nothing came up in my searches.  Kay also recommended him again that week but unfortunately the link didn’t work.

Not to be beaten, this week I tried searching again for the group page, but instead discovered their joint Business Page and then on doing so found his group page (Yeh!).  So after waiting so long, I’ve decided both deserve promoting.

Group Page link HERE

Kay said about her husband that he’s a real trooper and he restores old vintage trikes, bikes, prams and refurbishes bulky wooden items despite having a bad back and manic depression.  She said it would really cheer him up to see some more interest in his work.

Kay on the other hand makes bespoke handmade fabric crafts and is turning her sewing hobby into a little business.

Shoogly Beads is a husband and wife design team based beside the sea in Stonehaven on the lovely Northeast of Scotland.

The ‘Shoogly’ part of our name comes from a good Scots word meaning shaky, wobbly, swinging just what beads and charms should do when you hang them off  things, a charm bracelet should be very shoogly as should dangly earrings!

Recommended by Diane Warburton, who said “I’ve bought a few things from them recently and they’ve been lovely and Pat is great at communicating what’s going on. It’s not just beads which Mike makes, its woollen items too like gloves and corsages.”
