Welcome to The Crafty Network Blog Craft Challenge.  We are now asking for people to VOTE for their favourite entry from the selection of entries below, to enable us to declare a Winner and 2 Runners Up of this challenge on Friday evening.

A big thank you to everyone who entered the challenge this week, our last one for this year, awwww!  This week we were looking for Festive Crafts or Crafts suitable as gifts for the Festive season and as always I like to ‘stretttccchhh’ the theme as much as possible to give everyone a chance to send in an entry.  We have some really lovely entries this week and all would make great gifts for Christmas!

Talking about Gifts for Christmas I hope you don’t mind if I take this opportunity to give a little plug for our Handmade Christmas Gifts Guide, it is full of unique handmade gift ideas, which are all available to buy and the items are made by many of the crafters who can be found in our directories, taken part in our craft challenges or are followers of our Facebook page. This is my version of a fabric advent calendar. It’s all handmade, numbers are all handstitched and has 2 loops to hang with individual pockets for treats/sweets, a real labour of love but totally worth it, I think.

I’ve created a beaded ornament for the Christmas tree. For me, this time of year has a wonderful meaning, the birth of Jesus Christ. Being inspired in the purity of Christmas, I’ve created an ornament with crystal beads, in a form of a square (also available in a shape of a heart). The ornament contains more than 60 crystal beads. Along with this crystal ornament, I’ve made a collection of other ornaments, with crystal and pearl beads, a wonderful combination for a white Christmas decoration.
