TCN CRAFT CHALLENGE ~ Remember, Remember~ Please Vote!

08 Nov

THANK YOU VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS CRAFT CHALLENGE ~ ANY VOTES MADE AFTER 8PM WILL NOT BE COUNTED. THE WINNER AND RUNNERS UP WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT 9PM.

Welcome to The Crafty Network Blog Craft Challenge.  We are now asking for people to VOTE for their favourite entry from the selection of entries below, to enable us to declare a Winner and 2 Runners Up of this challenge on Friday evening.

(Not sure what this is all about, then please visit: Challenge Rules and see details about the theme for this challenge in the previous post.)

At first I thought I was only going to receive one entry for the challenge this week and up until Tuesday evening I had only received nine entries. So I was a little bit disappointed with this being the penultimate challenge for the year!  But thank goodness I should have more faith, you didn’t let me down and the challenge was saved by a last-minute surge and I am happy to say I finally received 20 entries.  All of which are really lovely, I personally have many favourites this week!

Now the hard part is handed over to you, to decide which of the 20 fantastic entries is your favourite.  Please take the time to vote and support these people, I know it is going to be very difficult to choose.   Also, if you could share and promote this challenge to encourage more people to vote, it really would be appreciated.

THE VOTING!

In order to declare a WINNER of this Competition, we need YOU our lovely Followers to comment below this post quoting the No. of the photo you like best.  For those of you who are undecided, you can vote for more than one, but limit it to choosing just 3 and please make it clear which is your first, second and third choice.

ie. No. 1 = 3pts (1st choice),   No. 2 = 2pts (2nd choice), No. 6 = 1pt (3rd choice).

If you pick just one, this will count as 3 points.

You can also send in your votes via email if you wish to:  thecraftynetwork@gmail.com or message me via the TCN Facebook page

(Please Note:  The Crafty Network, will not use or retain your email addresses for any marketing purposes and once the vote has been counted, your emails will be deleted).

*************************************************************************************************************************

The voting will close at 8PM on FRIDAY and the winner with the most points will be announced at 9PM, along with the 2 runners-up.

*************************************************************************************************************************

Thank you & Good luck with your choices, as always this is a really hard decision.

Please click on the first photo and this will take you to a bigger view of all of the photos.  (Sometimes this can take a little while to load, sorry!)  Also, below the photos are the pages links and the information about each entry.

CONTACT LINKS & INFORMATION FOR ALL THE ENTRIES:

RED-YELLOW-BLUE-GREEN

Fully washable made from 100% cotton (lining nylon)

2.  Whistling Bird Crafts ~ https://www.facebook.com/whistlingbirdcrafts

Quilted table runner.  I made it from an Autumn golds charm pack and I think the colours really reflect  the colours of the leaves  during November. It is handbound & backed with a terracotta colour which sets off the oranges & golds.

3.    Yowe ~ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Yowe/135502869895054  Website is http://www.yowe.co.uk/

This is a little memopad which I’ve decorated with wool fibres and machine stitching. Although not specifically designed with fireworks in mind, the bursts of colour make me think of such. And, to my mind, the machine stitching also evokes a sense of fireworks shooting up into the sky.

4.       Penny Jane Designs ~ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Penny-Jane-Designs/192153117479243   http://www.etsy.com/shop/Pennyjanedesigns   http://folksy.com/shops/pennyjanedesigns   www.pennyjanedesigns.co.uk

These have been created for Remembrance day with 50% going to RBL.  I have had a fantastic response from them so far.  It’s nice to have sales but great to raise funds for a good cause!

5.  Kitty Luna Designs ~ http://www.facebook.com/kitty.luna.73?ref=tn_tnmn

My decoupaged skull embellished with mirror mosaic tiles. It is full size too!

6.       Ring O Roses Jewellery ~ www.ringorosesjewellery.co.uk  www.facebook.com/ringoroses  http://www.etsy.com/shop/RingORosesJewellery  www.ringorosesjewellery.blogspot.com

Armistice bracelet ~ The focal is a wooden watercolour art tile and the bracelet is a feastful of colour and texture with lampwork, ceramic, metal and semi-precious beads.

7.       Louise Bedford ~

My entry is inspired by a Catherine wheel

8.     The Glassy Gift Company ~ https://www.facebook.com/TheGlassyGiftShop www.theglassygiftshop.co.uk

Poppy Field iPad case which was sold and all the money donated to Help For Heroes.

11. Dea Jewellery Designs ~ www.facebook.com/deajewellerydesigns  Website: www.deajewellerydesigns.co.uk

I made this bracelet with a November bonfire in mind. The beautiful orange and yellow tones emulate a glittering flame. The beads used are a combination of red Agate, Carnelian and Jade.

12.  Emer – McLysaghts Jewellery ~ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Emer-McLysaghts-Jewellery

Myosotis commonly called Forget-me-nots. In Ireland the forget me not flower is associated with the Irish Kidney Association.

13. Susiea Handmade ~ I have a little Folksy shop www.folksy.com/shops/susiea and my Facebook page is www.facebook.com/susieahandmade

It’s a poppy fabric pocket tissue holder.  These handy holders keep your tissues tidy and clean, instead of being all scrunched up in the bottom of your bag.  And with one of these you will always have a tissue on hand to wipe away that annoying smear of lippy on your teeth!

14.  Heartlands Glass ~ www.facebook.com/HeartlandsGlass

Framed Glass Entitled ‘Lest We Forget’

15.  FlowaPowaArt ~ http://folksy.com/items/3726666-Bonfire-Night-Watercolour-ACEO-ORIGINAL  Blog: www.FlowaPowaArt.com   Facebook: www.facebook.com/FlowaPowaArt

16.  Inside The Jewellery Box ~ Facebook: www.facebook.com/insidethejewellerybox  Website: www.inside-the-jewellery-box.co.uk  Blog: http://folksy.com/shops/InsidetheJewelleryBox

This is a hand-painted poppy with printed text, made into a pendant.  I chose the poppy as I love the vibrant colours and its representation of peace.  The necklace was bought by a little girl called Poppy!

17.   Painting Grace ~ Painting Grace Creating Lasting Memories or alternatively Painting Jezbel Creating Alternative Memories

I am raising funds for the Royal British Legion with a competition to win a canvas print of the picture http://www.justgiving.com/painting-grace

18.   Handcrafted By Picto ~ http://handcraftedbypicto.blogspot.co.uk
https://www.facebook.com/HandcraftedbyPicto

My entry is a small canvas 5×7 inches, painted using acrylics.
The subject is Peace.   I have painted the Peace sign, a Heart for Love and White Poppies that symbolise Peace.

19.   Connie Rose Designs ~ https://www.facebook.com/Connierosedesigns

Remembrance Day has always made me feel very humbled. It must have been such a scary time to be a soldier, so I’ve picked this as my theme. His name is Albert, I made little Albert in honour of all those brave men and women who lost their lives in our wars. He is dressed in a WW2 uniform and wears a single Poppy of remembrance.

20.  Pretty As a Picture ~ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pretty-As-A-Picture/182089318529673

It is a remembrance picture I made for my son to remember his Grandma who is sadly no longer with us. She loved Poppies & her father fought in WWII so it only seems fitting I enter this.
