Welcome to The Crafty Network Mini Challenge Voting Post.  We are now asking for people to VOTE for any of the below entries, so we can declare a Winner and 2 Runners Up on Friday evening.

These music notebooks were inspired by finding some tatty old sheet music in a second-hand bookshop. It just needed a new lease of life! I use any sheet music I can find to recycle – at the moment it’s Beethoven’s Sonata in A flat major! The notebooks are available to buy here –http://folksy.com/shops/sayit?shop_section=notebooks.

The music association with this piece of work is actually the other way around from what you might expect. Each of my knitted/felted bags has its own name and this has usually formed in my head by the time I have finished it. This little bag made me feel bubbly and happy as I worked on it and I decided to name it “Celebration”. Although not one of my favourite songs, whenever I see this bag now I have “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang running through my head!

This project…..my FIRST attempt at sewing on a machine today, was done after hearing the song “Heart & Soul” by the 80’s group T’pau.

A Craft in Music photograph montage. To begin with I was puzzled with what to enter for the craft in music topic. Then the more I looked through photographs the more song titles and lyrics came to mind.

I decided on another cushion this week, one of my favourite and most memorable songs is from my all time favourite film, Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. Actually two of my favourite songs are from this film “Young Hearts Run Free – Kym Mazelle, also which my cushion is based is “Angel – Gavin Friday”

My inspiration was the innocence and pure love from the film and introductory words to the song “Angel hold on to me, love is all around me “. The angel wings embrace the two love hearts of Romeo & Juliet, with the cross and heart beaded embellishments at the head of the  angel depicting conflict.
