NEW: The Mini Challenge Rules:

Due to FB rules on competitions I have decided it might be best to try to continue with the mini challenges via the Blog, I will still use FB to advertise the challenges, but all the entries will be numbered and then posted on the Blog as a Blog Post, voting will then be open by writing a comment below the post and writing the number of your favourite.  The entry with the most votes will be the winner.  To allow more time.  The mini challenge theme announcement will be made on Tuesday and all entries must be sent via email no later than 12 midnight (GMT time) on Wednesday.  ALL entries will be uploaded to the Blog by 10pm on Thursday and voting will remain open until 7pm on Friday.  The winner will be announced at 8pm.  See this link for more details:

I hope you can all support and enjoy the challenge.

I have said I will not be continuing with the Crafter Showcases here and on Facebook.  To be honest I am a little saddened by this and a bit mystified by the low response to past showcases, as I think they are a great opportunity to allow someone else to promote your products.  It is a lot of hard work for me, as I usually had to spend a lot of time, chasing for entries, re-editing photos and comments, looking for missing web links etc, uploading to FB and the Blog, but I honestly didn’t mind!

For your information this is also what I did to promote the albums; once entries to the showcase close (entries are added to the FB showcase on a ad hoc basis to enable the showcase to be constantly promoted on FB), they are then uploaded to the Blog, which does get a lot of views and previous showcases still do. I tweet about it, post on other networking pages and stumble it and sometimes pin it on pinterest.

May/June: Celebrations Showcase ~ Birthday/Anniversary etc

September/October: Autumn/Winter Showcase

November/December: Christmas Showcase

Please let me know if you found this useful or not, all feedback and comments are gratefully received.

Thanks for following.

    Hi Linda,
I just wanted to explain that the Wednesday challenge just fell on a bad day for me! I’m at work all day then go to my glass class and dont’ get home until 10, there just isn’t a spare minute for me to get on the computer and find a photo.

Hi Wendy no need to explain, I know some people are really busy. I go to college myself on a Wednesday evening but I’m ‘lucky’ I don’t have a day job besides this and making jewellery. Just so you know, I am now allowing a bit more time for people to get their entries in, by announcing the theme on a Tuesday morning around 10am. The next challenge will be week commencing 14th May.
